Acrobat Pro 8 Help files
On a G4 Powerbook the Acrobat menu items run into the Apple icons (like VPN/AIrport/ etc. that appear at the upper right corner of the screen. I can access the Acrobat Help menu but nothing happens -- meaning the Adobe Help Viewer doesn't seem to be invoked.
Acrobat Pro 8 Help files work fine on a desktop machine with a much larger monitor where the Acrobat 8 menus don't run all the way over to the Apple icons.
Anyone else having a similar problem?
Many thanks.

Re: Acrobat Pro 8 Help files
I can see this happening. Not sure what is supposed to happen when there are lots of application menu items and static menu bar items. It's probably worse on a 12"

Re: Acrobat Pro 8 Help files
What does "I can see this happening" mean. Theory or is it happening on a machine you use?

Re: Acrobat Pro 8 Help files
Theory. I only have a 17" PowerBook. I'll see if I can find a 12" or 15"

Re: Acrobat Pro 8 Help files
It isn't a problem for me on a G4 PowerBook 15", Mac OS X 10.4.8, and Acrobat 8 Professional.
In the Finder I have 10 menulets to the left of my time, user name, and Spotlight.
In Acrobat 8, I have 7 menulets to the left of time, user name, and Spotlight. There is no colllision with the Acrobat Help menu.
Maybe it's a particular menulet that's causing the conflict.

Re: Acrobat Pro 8 Help files
No it doesn't. I've installed it twice.
Perhaps this has something to do with it. The purchase was a download. The install worked fine on the desktop to which I downloaded. I then burned a cd with the dmg and installed on the laptop from that?
Long shot.
Thanks for your help.
