Acrobat Pro Interactive Form Caculation Problems
I am creating a requistion form for work and trying to
make it interactive. I have the 'quantity' field x
the 'amount' field = the 'total cost' field, with the
sum of 10 different 'total cost' fields = 'grand
total' field. So my question is this:
When I enter number's into the quantity and amount
fields, the first line works correctly but the grand
total does not add in the second fields total until I
add something to line 3. This is the was they all
work, not adding in the last total amount to the grand
total, until the next line is activated, so to speak.
Is this the way the program works? Or am I missing
something?
I am using Acrobat Pro 7.0.8 on OSX 10.4.7.

Re: Acrobat Pro Interactive Form Caculation Problems
Hi-- I hope you've solved your problem. Could it be as simple as having to exit the field holding the live data in order to send it to the calculation? That would be logical.

Re: Acrobat Pro Interactive Form Caculation Problems
Unfortunately, no, it's not that simple. If I put a quantity and amount in line 1 and hit 'enter', the grand total appears. If I add a quantity and amount in line 2 and hit 'enter', nothing happens in the grand total field, until I enter something into the line 3 quantity and click out of that field.
FYI - I will be posting this form online for a school district and the teachers that will be using this are not always computer literate, so this could cause confusion, which is why I am looking for a solution to this problem.
