Acrobat Pro/Reader 7 Batch enable commenting for Reader 7
I have been searching for a good way other than opening and saving each file using Acrobat 7 Pro in order to enable commenting in Reader 7. Is there another way? Is there a way to batch process many .pdf files at once and make them all enabled for commenting in Reader 7?
Also, can I set up Distiller to make .pdfs enabled for commenting in Reader 7? If that were possible it would solve the problem.
Finally, does any know if comment-enabled acrobat 7 .pdfs will be an option to choose for making .pdfs inside of InDesign CS2?
Thanks for any answers to any of these questions.

Re: Acrobat Pro/Reader 7 Batch enable commenting for Reader 7
There's no batch prosess for this, it's not an option in Indesign cs 2.

Re: Acrobat Pro/Reader 7 Batch enable commenting for Reader 7
Hello again,
Couldn't this be Javascripted? Couldn't a javascript be run that would at least automate the task of opening "Comments" and choosing "Enable for commenting in Adobe Reader"? I think I will try to write a script for this. If anyone has any ideas on how to approach this please let me know.
Thanks,
Morgan

No. You can only JavaScript what a method exists for. Adobe didn't
provide a method for this.
You can JavaScript running any menu, but if that pops up a dialog box,
it will continue to do so.

Re: Acrobat Pro/Reader 7 Batch enable commenting for Reader 7
Hello,
Hey thanks for the info. Unfortunately, I have come to the same conclusion while browsing the web, the scripting forum, and planetpdf's site. That is disappointing news to say the least. This is what I read:
"I would suspect Adobe wouldn't provide an automation interface to this, in the perhaps vain hope of selling LiveCycle Reader Extensions."
I am not familiar with the LiveCycle Reader Extentions product, but it sounds like it is not available for the Mac so my search for a solution ends here.
Thanks,
Morgan
