Acrobat Standard 7 refuses to launch on Mac Pro
All of a sudden and for no apparent reason, Acrobat Standard 7 crashes upon launch on my Mac Pro 2.66 GHz with 3 GB RAM. Until today, it's been running with no problems. Any suggestions? It doesn't even get as far as the splash screen.

Never mind; one of my files was corrupted. When I restored everything from a backup, all was OK.

Re: Acrobat Standard 7 refuses to launch on Mac Pro
Jon,
It's a Haxie to emulate the old Apple menu from earlier OS versions. Potential for lots of problems.

Re: Acrobat Standard 7 refuses to launch on Mac Pro
No Haxie's can cause lots of problems in general. Some mess with the UNIX KEXT files underlying the Mac OS. But some can cause problems with specific programs as well. There is Only one Haxie I like and usually works well is SILK. IT does the equivelent to Adobe Type Manager did on OS9. It smoothes fonts. But even it gives problems with Mozilla Products.
