Acrobat toolbar reverts to default even when locked
I am using Acrobat 7.0.7 on Mac OS X 10.4.6. Toolbars I don't want are deactivated, and toolbars I do want, I open and place where I like them. I then check on the "Lock Toolbars" option. Everything stays exactly where placed them until Acrobat is quit out of. The next time it is opened my toolbars are gone and the default ones are all back in place. Anyone have a clue what is happening or how to fix? Thanks.

Re: Acrobat toolbar reverts to default even when locked
Not sure if this is the same behaviour, but unless you perform an
orderly shut down of Acrobat, it will not remember any changes to the
toolbar preferences ...
Move your toolbars where you want them - manually QUIT Acrobat and try
again ...

Re: Acrobat toolbar reverts to default even when locked
This still will not work. evan with a clean shutdown or acrobat the toolbar will not hold.

Jim
Try deleting your preference file, perhaps its is corrupt.

Re: Acrobat toolbar reverts to default even when locked
I am experiencing a similar problem. It is as if Lock Toolbars were not functioning at all.
Tiger.8
Acrobat Pro 7.0.8
1. In Acrobat Pro, I open and position specific toolbars over the Desktop.
2. I select View>Toolbars>Lock Toolbars.
3. Some of the toolbars move.
4. Even though Lock Toolbars is checked, I am able to move any displayed toolbar.
5. Quit and relaunch Acrobat Pro.
6. Some of the toolbars have moved again even though Lock Toolbars still is checked.

Re: Acrobat toolbar reverts to default even when locked
If the "preference file" perchance is corrupted, where do you find the file to delete it?
Because I am using Adobe Reader 9.0, and my tool bar will not stay locked. I want to add the rotate page button to the tool bar, I add it, View, Toolbars, Lock Toolbars, but they buttons I add are never there the next day.Unregistered Guest
