Acrobat won't print fonts and bitmaps to inkjet

Acrobat 6.0; Windows98se; 512 MB memory, H.P. Deskjet 952C

I created Acrobat files from CAD with TrueType fonts and a bitmap along with vector linework (8 1/2 x 11 page size). I used special processing to send the JPG bitmap to Acrobat because it has a transparent background. The file looks good on the monitor.

When I send the file to the printer, at first it showed boxes instead of fonts. Later attempts printed the fonts, but so far the bitmap graphic logo has not printed on paper. Because printing to and from Acrobat has always been an adventure, I have been given several settings changes by Adobe technicians. The resolution is set to 600 dpi, the PS font memory has been increased to 32,000, etc. I also tried setting the Windows spooler to the default EMF instead of RAW.

So far, the fonts are now printing, but the logo is still missing in action. Any suggestions will be appreciated. JE

Two things to do. 1. DO not close the file or Acrobat until the print is complete (a common source of boxes). 2. Try printing as a graphic (there is a graphic check box in the Acrobat print screen).
