Quit clicking the little X in the upper right corner.
You didn't seriously expect any help without giving any more information that that, did you?

Re: Acrobate 6.0.1 documents won't stay open
Okay, here's more information.
1. I open a document.
2. I spend some time reviewing the document.
3. I make no changes to the document.
4. Without prompting--or clicking the little X in the upper right corner--the document closes. All by itself. After one to two minutes.
What other information would be helpful here?

Re: Acrobate 6.0.1 documents won't stay open

Well, how about: -
OS
Hardware Spec
Version of Acrobat you are using
Does this happen to all pdf files or just one
IS the pdf being opened locally or over a network or over the web
Is it being opened in a browser - if so which one (name and version)
What other software is running at the time
Can you make the pdf available for others to see
Just for a start. If that leads to more information being needed I am sure we will ask.

Re: Acrobate 6.0.1 documents won't stay open
OS: Any Windows. It happens on two machines. One w/ Win2k and another with XP.
Hardware specs:
Machine 1: Dual Xeon 2.4's.
Machine 2: Compaq Athlon 2.8 (or 2.x)
Acrobat ver 6.0.1, which I think I put in my original post.
All pdfs.
Machine 1: Network
Machine 2: Locally
No browser involved in either case.
Other software: It depends. Sometimes nothing, sometimes Outlook, IE, Word, Excel, Casemap, Timemap, Prolaw, Timeslips, all of the above, some of the above.
I don't understand the last question. For "others to see" when? Where? Can I create pdfs? Yes. Can I save them? Yes.
It happens with enough frequency and variations in the variables listed above, on two machines (that are not networked with each other) that I don't think it's a problem with the hardware or some non-Acrobat function.
I guess my question was whether this is a known bug that anyone has heard about. I had a similar, but different, problem, before I upgraded to 6.0.1 from 6.0. That problem went away.

He means can you post one of the porblem PDFs on a web site so that other members of the forum can look at it?
I've never heard of this problem before.
