Actions
Hi NG,
we have to scan our incoming daily paper mail, convert scans to jpeg, name it and save it in the right folders on the server. We would like to automate it. The scanner runs with a twain driver. I tried with actions / buttons, but it does not recognise the twain settings. And there is something like a loop request till "go on" or something missing in actions. How can we achive our goals? Scripting or something?

Re: Actions
Correction: duplicate topic by same poster. Sigh.
F.lopez, making two posts with the same subject but different questions makes it hard to follow.
Your question is quite unclear, but it sounds like you want an action to automatically initiate your twain driver. That's easy. When creating your action use Insert Menu Item from the Actions Pallet Flyout Menu, and select File|Import [your twain device].
What you cannot do is have Photoshop initiate the "Scan" itself. If you would like to do batch scanning, you may be able to use your scanner software in standalone mode, scan in a bunch of images, then process them post scan.
Alternatively you can use something like Hamericks VueScan to do batch scanning.
Peace,
Tony

Re: Actions
Toggle the dialog of the Save As portion of the action to OFF. In the Batch Dialog, make sure to check the box that says "Override Save As Information".
