Activation for Acro 8 Pro doesn't work...
OS X 10.4.8, PPC Dual 2.5. I just bought and installed the Acro 8 Pro Upgrade from Acrobat 5 Standard package. I registered the product but Activation doesn't seem to work.
When I first start up the app, under "Help" the "Activation" selection is there but both "Activate" and "Deactivate" are grayed out. After a minute or so, the "Activation" selection itself disappears from the "Help" drop-down.
Other than that very odd behavior, the app appears to be working just fine. I have other apps from Adobe and have never had such a problem as this one.
Has anyone else seen it? Does anyone know how to fix it?

Are you saying that Acrobat 8.0 appears to be running as expected?

Re: Activation for Acro 8 Pro doesn't work...
Yes, it is working fine.
I just got off the phone with Adobe CS. After a little research they told me that my copy is already Activated. They said that Acro Pro 8 does the Activation automatically with no user intervention, unlike PhotoShop and the other Adobe apps. The User Guide doesn't say it happens that way, though.
They didn't tell me why the "Activation" feature disappears from the "Help" drop-down after a few minutes. That leaves me wondering how one can Deactivate it without calling Adobe.

Acrobat 8 doesn't have activation on the Mac like it does on Windows. The disappearing menu item is a little odd though.
