Active Directory Search using CFLDAP returns no rows - Coldfusion - Advanced Techniques

I can't search against our Active Directory using the following tag. It always returns no rows and there is no error message. However, if I add the attributes 'usernmae' and 'password', I get my results. <cfldap name="LDAP_Entries" action="query" server="myServer.sickkids.ca" port="389" attributes="cn,dn,employeeID,mail,ou" scope="subtree" start = "dc=sickkids,dc=ca" username="sickkids\betty test" <--- return no row if taken away password="abcdef" <--- return no row if taken away filter="ou=information services"  Can someone shed some light on this? Thanks Betty...

    Default Active Directory Search using CFLDAP returns no rows

    I can't search against our Active Directory using the following tag. It always

    <cfldap

    username="sickkids\betty test" <--- return no row if taken
    away
    password="abcdef" <--- return no row if
    taken away
    filter="ou=information services"

    By default AD does not support anonymous ldap. It can be configured in AD.
    See MS knowledge base article
    http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;320528

    Usually I set up a service account and use that account and password in the
    cfldap tag.
