Adaptec dpti driver included in 5.0.7? - SCO

Is Adaptec's dpti driver included in the final release of 5.0.7? I have a tech support person who insists that it is, and I distinctly remember that I had to use a BTLD when I installed this system back in June. I know I could easily check this by booting from the installation CD and seeing what appears in the hardware inventory during ISL, but it's extremely inconvenient to bring down the system at this time. Default Adaptec dpti driver included in 5.0.7?

Is Adaptec's dpti driver included in the final release of 5.0.7?

I have a tech support person who insists that it is, and I distinctly
remember that I had to use a BTLD when I installed this system
back in June. I know I could easily check this by booting from
the installation CD and seeing what appears in the hardware
inventory during ISL, but it's extremely inconvenient to bring
down the system at this time.

For the curious, the problem I'm trying to resolve with Adaptec
is that the 3210S caching RAID controller doesn't seem to be
caching much of anything except speculative read-ahead
sectors. Doing a simple cat somefile > /dev/null results in
just as much disk activity the 2nd, 3rd & 4th times as the
first time around. There should be no disk activity whatsoever
on an otherwise idle system (and we're talking disk activity,
not controller activity) since the read request should be
satisfied by the 256MB controller cache, as it always had under
5.0.5 and earlier incarnations. Cache statistics under Adaptec's
Storage Manager also appear to be flawed.

    I don't see it in /etc/default/scsihas, on a 5.0.7 system with MP1 and
UP1, nor do I see any btld file for it on ftp.sco.com.

Thanks JP. I now have the unenviable task of convincing someone
who should know better that he's just wrong.

I am not familar with the 3210S controller, but most RAID controllers
work the same way. If the file you are sending out to /dev/null is
small enough to fit in the 256MB cache then I would expect no HD
activity. Some controllers have a dedicated assignment of how
they handle that cache, say 50% for read and 50% for write. Yours
may be 100% dedicated to "writes" coming from the application out
to the HD, which for some reason Compaq calls "read" cache on their
    controllers.
