Add Dates To Thumbnails
Hello,
I am fairly new to acrobat and have made a long pdf containing weekly reports by managers. Everything is fine except I want the page numbers that appear in the side bar to be dates instead of sequential numbers. Each report is a single page weekly business summary.
Since these are weekly reports I want the thumbnails to go
06/10/2008
13/10/2008
20/10/2008
etc
This would enable anyone using the pdf to click on the date for the report they require.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Add Dates To Thumbnails
I think you can do it manually using the Page Numbering command. In Acrobat 9 Pro, choose Advanced > Document Processing > Page Numbering. Choose Selected Page, and set Style to None. Then type the date in the Prefix field. Click OK. The date appears under the thumbnail.

Re: Add Dates To Thumbnails
Fail?
More details will usually produce a better response.
Here's two thoughts: Re-name the individual PDFs with the appropriate date, then go to File> create PDF from multiple files> drag the PDFs into the window> next> assemble files into a PDF package.
If you want to get fancy, make a cover page with buttons linked to each report. (I would use InDesign).
