add/del page/s makes my layout move outside the margins

Good morning! Please help me on how to avoid my layout to move outside the margins whenever I del/add a page/s. Is there a quick way or to auto update the page layout to not move outside the margins. Many thanks!

Upgrade to the CS version of InDesign. In version 2 you have this problem, unless you add and remove pages 2 at a time.

Not when you are laying out facing pages.

I believe that the following will work for items that are should be touching the left or right margins:

1. Switch off Layout Adjustment.

2. Go to your facing page masters and swap the values for the inside and outside margins.

3. Switch on Layout Adjustment.

4. Swap your inside and outside margins back again.
