    Default Add Directory

I am adding a directory that is over the network, I have
mapped a network drive to it, but when adding it, I always
    get a 'Invalid Directory name'.

    What gives?

Well your post doesn't make a lot of sense to me (but that isn't saying much
    ;) )

For example, you say you are 'adding a directory that is over the network'
ok .. I get this (at least I think so... like md \\servername\c$\mydir).
Then you say you 'have mapped a network drive to it' so I assume the
directory was added fine and will also make the assumption you shared it so
that you were able to map a drive to it. (net use X: \\servername\mydir)

The last bit throws me, 'but when adding it' adding it to what? what exactly
are you doing at this stage that it does return the message 'invalid
directory name' What is the directory name?

    Ok, first of all:

I have created a Catalog (Index Server) I Have added a
directory (this happens to be over the network) but
returns the error ='Invalid Directory name'

    Second:

I had mapped a drive to it through 'My Computer' and can
browse the files, but I have the problem mentioned above
when I want to add the directory to the catalog.

    Does that make better sense?

    Thanks
