Add URL to ad created elsewhere
I'm new to Flash. I publish a local online newsletter - a one-man operation.
A local restaurant wants to use an ad that they are already running with
another larger site. The other publication sent me the ad as a finished .swf
movie, but the URL that is embedded in the .swf file does not send the viewer
to the restaurant's website, but instead keeps directing me to an undefined
file on my own local site on my computer. I don't have access to the original
work file, so I don't think I can add a button or whatever per the instructions
on some other questions on this forum. I tried to open a new file and import
the ad but I was only getting the first frame and it seemed all off. I am
asking the ad's original maker to send me an ad with the link embedded but I
have a feeling this issue will be coming up more often in the future. Anybody
have any suggestions.

Re: Add URL to ad created elsewhere
The issue should not come up. You'll just need to specify that you require the
ads to have the URL embedded in the SWF prior to them sending the file to you.
It's the hosting sites that set the specifications, not the advertisers.
