Adding a Copyright Layer in Elements 2.0
I would like to go ahead and pre-save copyright labels such as "Photos by Ken Little © 2003" on different transparent layers in different colors with different placements. In other words, I might want to save a transparent layer with the copyright info in black in the bottom right for use in a photo that has is light color in the bottom right.
My plan is when working with a photo to add this new layer from any one of my presaved files. This way I won't have to reinvent the wheel each time. However, I am unsure as to what type of file format to save it. I have been using a new file as a transparency and then using the text tool to add the text. Then I save it as a .TIF file. Is there any better way? Also, once in the new file, how do I get it in as a new layer with my photo file?
Thanks in advance!

I too would like to receive your PDF. We had this as a Sunday Class in the MSN Photographics Group but I lost it. A Text layer treatment as I recall.

Re: Adding a Copyright Layer in Elements 2.0
Chuck,
It is a great book and it has helped me a great deal. I just got through most of it on vacation this past week.
Another great book is "The Hidden Power of Photoshop Elements 2" by Richard Lynch. It comes with power tools that allows you to use Curves, Masks, Color Separations and Channels. I still have a lot to learn. But it helps bring Elements closer to Photoshop.
I am also reading Photoshop 7 Artistry - Mastering the Digital Image. It is extremely detailed and may take a lot longer to read as it is more technical. Hopefully I can pull out useful hints for PE 2.
