Adding a lines/shapes to previously created PDFs
We use Acrobat 6 on Win 2000.
We often use Control+Touchup Text tool to add new text to previous pdfs some that are old scanned documents. The text prints nicely for all users - not only those who remember to print with comments.
I am looking for a method to add lines and/or other shapes to a previously created document so that the line/shape is stored in the same way as added text.
Can anybody help with a solution please?

There is also a "Drawing" commenting tool (Under "Tools>Advanced Commenting>Drawing"); it is quite limited, but it might serve your needs.

Re: Adding a lines/shapes to previously created PDFs
Why not add the comments normally and then print (with comments) to Distiller, which would turn your comments into regular page objects?

Re: Adding a lines/shapes to previously created PDFs
This was a simple but brilliant solution and it was cheap! Many thanks. The only issue I have found is that a little text and line work adds quite a bit to the file size. Do you have any comments on this? Many thanks.

Re: Adding a lines/shapes to previously created PDFs
Try doing a "Save As" instead of "Save."

File > Reduce File Size or Advanced > PDF Optimizer after you create the file
