Adding a partition. - Sun Solaris

Dear experts, I am running Sun OS 5.8 (Solaris 8) in my machine. I have 20 GB raw disk space. Now, I want to create a new partition of size 10GB and leave remaining 10GB as raw as it is now. What should I do to achieve the above? Your help will be appreciated. Kind Regards, Elango...

    Become root via your preferred method on that machine and
    run format, bring up the disk's partition table, rework the
    partition layout then name and label the disk.

    Also, after it has been formatted don't forget to newfs the new
    partition and include it into /etc/fstab

    Why? No mention was made of creating a filesystem.
