Adding a SWF to my PDF
Hi , have taken the tutorial provided by adobe on this subject and everything works just fine . but when i go to make my own interactive PDF i run into an error .
the error occurs when after i draw the box with my movie tool ... i browse and select the .swf file (located in the same file as my pdf - on my desktop) ... and click ok .
am using the exact same process as in the adobe tutorial . but instead of loading the swf , adobe gives me this error :
cannot creat the movie annotation because the movie could not be loaded . This can occur if the file cannot be found or the url is unreachable (make sure the proxy server settings are correct.)

Re: Adding a SWF to my PDF
I've had no luck attaching swf files as movies only as attachments.

Re: Adding a SWF to my PDF
Since the take over of Macromedia didn't occur Untill after 7.0.7. I don't suppect we'll see Shockwave Flash support until version 8 or 9.
Adding Flash capability, would be a super major event left to next major release be it PPC , or Mactel.

Re: Adding a SWF to my PDF
the swf file is compresed. Change the content type to application/futuresplash and it should work.

Re: Adding a SWF to my PDF
Flash as I understand it is medium what akin to Quicktime Mov. its not a graphic format such as jpeg, bmp, png, gif, etc.
The last I looked Acrobat only supports Quicktime. I just looked in preference both for to or from pdf and swf is not listed.
Also in multimedia (of which Flash really is) only Quicktime is shown. This is in 7.0.8.
