Adding, deleting images - Acrobat 6 Professional - Adobe Acrobat Windows

Apologies in advance if this has been broached before - could not find the exact answer in the FAQs or KB search. 2 scenarios (running AB6 Pro under Windows): - I have an existing PDF which has acceptable images that I am trying to copy to another existing PDF. How ~exactly~ can I do this? Can image size and quality be preserved and if so how? - I have external images (edited in PS) that I want to bring in to an existing PDF. How ~exactly~ can this be done? Apologies in advance if this has been broached before - could not find the exact answer in the FAQs or KB search.

    - I have external images (edited in PS) that I want to bring in to an existing PDF. How ~exactly~ can this be done? Same question above as to size and quality.

I can revert to Adobe 5 if I need to, but would prefer not to for a variety of reasons.

    Thanks kindly in advance.

For bitmap images, you simply select the graphic object and copy. Then paste to the new PDF. Vector graphics are a bit more complicated because they come in parts. You can select the set of object parts and copy them.

To add an image, you need to create a PDF from the image and then copy it. For some image types, this can be done simply by opening the file in Acrobat. Another option is to add the image as an icon on a button object. The advantage of the latter is that it can be resized.

Hopefully that is enough to get you on your way.
