Adding Netbeui Protocol - HELP
Hi Guys
I am trying to add the Netbeui Protocol to my wife's computer so she can
dial-in (via modem) directly to her company's email system. It has to have
Netbeui installed for it to make the connection.
Windows XP does not now support Netbeui, but it is available on the XP Disk
under the ValueAdded folder.
I have followed MS's installation instructions by dropping the NB driver
file in the System32/Drivers folder and the NB inf files into the
Windows/inf (hidden) folder but the darn thing just won't install.
I am trying to install via Control Panel/Networks/Modem/Properties/INSTALL
NEW PROTOCOL but it just doesn't see these two files - one of which should
tell XP that Netbeui is available and offer it for installation.
Has anyone else had this problem, or can anyone offer a solution.
Thanks
David Roberts
