Default adding RAM: 12" G4

What's involved in upgrading the RAM yourself? I've pretty much always
done such myself, including in a Powerbook 3400, but what would I be
getting myself into?

OK, answered my own question:
osh_CPUs-G4/PowerBook_G4_12inch/index.html>

This looks to be one of the simplest memory installations I've had to
do. Why the heck does Apple say it should be done by a dealer when most
of the desktop machines are DYI???

The 12" is one of the most trivial portable I've ever done. The RAM is
under an access plate on the bottom. Undo the 4 screws holding the
plate in place, pop in the RAM, screw the plate back on.
