additional CPU
RS6000, 7025, 6F1 AIX 4.3.3
I have just replaced 1CPU with 2CPU's.
(RS64 III, 1W, 450 MHZ, 2MB L2
with
RS64 IV,2-WAY SMP,8MB L2 CACHE)
Are there some system settings that i should change, tune etc. ?

Re: additional CPU
Check of bos.mp is installed (lslpp -l)
diag -a
lsdev -Ccprocessor or bindprocessor -q
This should be enough.

the mp fileset is installed if the system is MP capable even if only one
CPU is actually present.

/usr/lib/boot/unix_mp and reboot to use the 2nd processor. If you've
got any licensed software, you might need to update the licenses.

Thanks all for sugestions
I have one more question about vmstat and CPU.
I have replaced 1 CPU with 2 CPU's.
I have checked for all things you have mentioned (everythig is ok).
I use vmstat to monitor performance.
everyday at 6 am i start this : vmstat 1800 32
After CPU replacement I've noticed that "r" column is allways "1" .
Is it normall behavior with 2 CPU's ? Why ?
Befor CPU replacement :
