Adjusting rulers on Illustrator CS
Right now when I am using pixels as the measurement for the rulers. I get this weird increments like every 36 (ie 36, 72.....) It is very strange when trying to do things based on increments of 10. Is there anyway to set the rulers so that they are increments of 10 when I am using pixels? Any insight, advice or know how greatly appreciated.

Ruler unit numbers and ticks are set by the zoom factor. As an example when you have Pixels and go to 6400% zoom there are there are two ticks between numbers, with each counting as one pixel. Because of the high number of pixels to a layout, you will have much larger numbers because your layout is set to print paper size.

oh...ok. I see. But wow so I have to zoom in tremedously to get the units I need. hhhmmmm... not cool but I guess it works.

Re: Adjusting rulers on Illustrator CS
Remember that your layout is not the size of a screen in units. Your screen probably is set to something like 1024 x 768 (or there abouts) pixels. Do the math for the size of your screen and it's probably something like 96 pixels per inch times width and times height. Print size in pixels is usually best around 300pixels per inch (or at least three times that of your screen) and for vector, it's usually something like 800ppi, over 8 timses your screen. Thus if you are making something with an artboard set for that size paper it would be impractical to have it set for visible one pixel units on the ruler at 100% view.
