Re: Adobe 29GBP per question SCANDAL!!
Actually, Illustrator vector files do have an output resolution. You can access it in Document Setup : Printing and Export in the newer versions of Ilustrator and under the "Attributes" palette in the older versions. Perhaps your vector file is set to a low output resolution? The default, 800, is OK for most things, but some printers want you to set it to a much higher resolution, like 1500.

Re: Adobe 29GBP per question SCANDAL!!
Images have a resolution - elements such as line arts can have a
flatness value - this does have a bearing on the quality of the artwork.
If 800dpi is selected for the artwork and output to 2400dpi it is said
to have a value of 3.
Products such as Enfocus Pitstop can detect these parameters and change

yeh. but im talking about if youve already made your pdf or been sent a pdf that you need to extract images from always looks low-res...
unfortunately it looks like the only way to do this properly
(ie: have full control over the rasterized resolution) is to open it in photoshop
so it looks like all you acrobat users out there better stick to version 5 for exporting raster images (or put your hand in your pocket once again for
a copy of photoshop)
unless you have another solution, Adobe support team?
(hmm, very elusive...)
