Adobe 5.0 and Excel
I have Adobe 5.0 loaded to my desktop. Each time I open an Excel file I get message box that states "Compile error in hidden module: DistMon."
I have downloaded the updates from www.adobe.com, but I still get the message box.
Ideas how to fix?

No luck. I removed the files as stated in the link, but I still get the same error message.

Re: Adobe 5.0 and Excel
That's strange because if the PDFMaker.xla is no longer there but you are still getting this message it almost gets Acrobat off the hook I would say.
What I would do is, with all your anti-virus software disabled and the PDFMaker still absent, detect and repair Office. If this cures the problem then try and re-add the PDFMaker as per the instructions in the techdoc - once again with the anti-virus still off - does the error reoccur?
One other thing - before you do any of that make sure you are using Acrobat 5.0.5 - if you are not then update it first!
