Adobe Acrobat 5.0 crashing immediately on opening (OS X 10.2.6) - Mac Applications & Software

Adobe Acrobat 5.0 is crashing immediately on opening, and I don't have any idea why. I'm running OS X 10.2.6; I recently installed Reader 6.0 along with a couple updates, one a Chinese font set, but I don't remember if Acrobat 5.0 failed immediately after this or later. I've removed files including invisibles with "acrobat" in them and reinstalled Acrobat from the CD. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks, Roger -- Roger Hart Assistant Professor, Departments of History and Asian Studies University of Texas at Austin...

Here's a few pages from Adobe's knowledge base. The first one here says
5.0 is not supported natively on OS X (and thus would run in Classic),
but 5.05 is supported. So... double check your version number and
download an update if need be. The last link is to the download site.

This happened to me back in the OS9 days... I updated Acrobat to 5.0 and
it started crashing. It was bad fonts.

Since you mention adding a font, that's where I would start.
