Adobe Acrobat 8.....Printer Description File install?????? HELP!!

When I go to print a PDF it says: AdobePDF 8.0 Printer Description File is not currently installed. A Generic PPD will be used instead.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Acrobat 8 Pro but it keeps saying it. I need help, I need to make PDF for job that has to go to press.

When you go print from where? Quark by any chance?

yes printing from Quark.

Quark / Utilities / PPD Manager /
Make sure you choose 'Use Auxillary folder' and then it should default
back ...

go back to Print and then double check in the SETUP tab ..

You need to check for the ADPDF8 file inside your
macintoshhd/library/printers/ppd/Contents/Resources/

Now point Quark (Utilities/PPD Manager) to this location ..
