Default Adobe Acrobat support for digital signature at PAGE LEVEL

I have over 16000 patient records in pdf format. Although Adobe supports digital signatures, it is a very clumsy execution. At the page level digital signatures CANNOT be affixed, without expensive thrid party programs. Look at this common scenario in my office:

-->A patient file will have multiple pages.
-->Some of these pages may have more than one signature on a page(more than one person might have to review the page and sign it).
--->The document may have pages appended over time and may have new signatures. This does NOT make the document invalid or flawed ( as adobe currently interprets it) . It is therefore necessary to track the signatures any place anytime on the document using an audit log which should be available to the administrator.

I wish Adobe had a simple way of creating an audit log of multiple signatures on a document. This would allow legal sharing of the document while allowing users to utilize the adobe multipage pdf file just as a paper file. This is a serious drawback in Adobe acrobat digital signature system, as it is currently deployed. It makes this feature useless to medical professionals. The only time when a digital signature is useful at a "document level" is in legal or comercial field, as shown in Adobe advertisement videos. In the medical field multiple, simultaneous digital signatures should be allowed at "PAGE LEVEL" The lack of this feature makes it hard to use Adobe in the medical field.
Has this feature been implemented in Adobe 8?

Your message seems to encompass my current situation as well...

I just finished creating a 5 page form using my Adobe Acrobat 7.0
Professional, and want to place two instances of a single Signature
field on it (on separate pages), so that when one field is digitally
signed the other will be also.

I've searched the manual over & over, and I've tried everything I know,
but unlike a plain text field which allows for this duplicating ability
right on the menu, the Signature field seems to be designed so as not to
    permit this.

Does anyone know a work around for this situation? I'm definitely not
going to purchase third party software to resolve this.

    Thanks, DoubleD
