Adobe CS3 - Will Not Install
I just bought Adobe CS3 today but when I click on the install file, it does
nothing. I have searched the web for help, but the one or two solutions I did
manage to find seem far beyond me. I am on Windows Vista. Anyone have any
solutions? Any responses would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Re: Adobe CS3 - Will Not Install
<start sarcasm> Hey, consider yourself lucky! At least you can SEE the
installation file! </end sarcasm>
Seriously, I am now trying to install a licensed boxed version of Contribute
CS3 on a second computer, and the computer can't even read the CD in the CD-ROM
drive! The computer acts like there is no CD in the drive at all. In Windows
Explorer, I get the dreaded "insert CD in the drive" message when I try to view
the contents of the CD.
I only tried to manually install the program because the AutoPlay didn't work.
Other than finding another computer whose CD-ROM drive could read the
installation CD, I can find no solution. And THAT'S not a solution, foks.
My idea was to download / install the trial version, then activate it with the
purchased serial number.
I shouldn't have to do that! This is so bogus... I have been waiting for my
download link for nearly an hour.
Adobe, what are you going to do about this installation problem?? Can we get
our money back?

Re: Adobe CS3 - Will Not Install
After reading my own reply, I realize folks may wonder about my comment
"installing on a second computer".
I have bought two copies - one for my computer, and another for a client's
computer. I experienced the "can't read CD" problem on both computers!

Re: Adobe CS3 - Will Not Install
I tried your idea after my repeated attempts to install Contribute CS3 on OS
Win XP. All I got was an error message " Error 1334 ...can't find file
_media_dee9eefb631ab5a589331107f15002b in Media.Cab. So I opened the Media Cab
in the Contribute CS3 desktop folder, an that file was, indeed, missing. All
the (other) files are in this folder but I still can't get it to install. Adobe
site has not been very helpful, so far.
