Re: Adobe InDesign Font Issues
A question that hasn't been asked is how to avoid this in the first place. The only answer I can come up with is to make sure Indesign is using a desired default font so that this problem is not perpetuated to other files.
With no file open, click the type tool, then change the font to the desired font. To test, create a new page, or quit the app then come back and create a new page. You should find that this will keep the new "good" font and stop you from having to worry about rogue TT fonts infecting your templates.
Cheers

Re: Adobe InDesign Font Issues
Patricia: The simplest solution is in the Print dialog, click on the Graphics tab, and turn ON "Download PPD Fonts." This will resolve the problem by downloading the font from your computer instead of relying on it matching the font in the printer.
Fraser: In this case, the font just doesn't match the encoding of the "same" font on the RIP. It's perfectly possible to have a font that works fine with one RIP fail on another due to this problem.

Well the question may not have been asked but the answer has been given many times. Export a PDF and embed all the fonts.
