Adobe PDF PPD for .PS file
Wondering if anyone could explain this or direct me to a thread or link?
I wish to give a recommendation for outside sources in terms of sending us the most reliable PDF utilizing distiller 6.0.1.
I was really trying to find some info on the pros and cons of using the "Acrobat PDF" PPD vs. "Device Independent" when printing the PS file.
My understanding was to choose the "Acrobat PDF" PPD. Is there any dangers in this recommendation?

Re: Adobe PDF PPD for .PS file
I would recommend using the Distiller ppd and choosing the pdfX1a job
options.

Re: Adobe PDF PPD for .PS file
Does the Distiller ppd still exist, or was that replaced by Acrobat PDF ppd?

Re: Adobe PDF PPD for .PS file
"Adobe PDF" as a ppd file is the updated "Acrobat Distiller" ppd but
with extended page regions and type syntax depicting the new postscript
level ...
No real difference in real-terms ...
