Adobe PDF Printer getting exlimation pointand not completing print
I seem to be having a problem with Acrobat PDF Printer and any application... if i print to it it will start to proccess the job and then get an excliimation point stoping the job.
I looked into the console and found the following error message:
"May 16 21:54:19 powerbook-g4-15 crashdump[586]: pdf700 crashed
May 16 21:54:26 powerbook-g4-15 crashdump[586]: crash report written to: /Library/Logs/CrashReporter/pdf700.crash.log"
Does anyone know what this problem is and how to fix it... acrobat has now become totaly useless

Re: Adobe PDF Printer getting exlimationpoint and not completing print
I have the same problem, and is seems to happen only with Illustrator and Indesign (both CS and CS2 versions). Illustrator 10 prints fine, as well as Photoshop CS2, Safari or TextEdit. Other people reported this error as well. Has anyone found a solution?

Have you tried Help > Detect and Repair in Acrobat?

Re: Adobe PDF Printer getting exlimationpoint and not completing print
I have detected and repaired, re installed the entire adobe suite... have even formatted my drive installed 10.4 and then cs2 still with this same problem... in illustrator and indesign.
I have found that if you click the printer button and then select the Adobe PDF printer it them asks me for a location to save the PDF and then it prints file.. just very very frustrating and add some time to the process.

Re: Adobe PDF Printer getting exlimationpoint and not completing print
Here's an update. I created a new OS X user and when I log into that account, Illustrator prints just fine. How can I repair my own account?

Re: Adobe PDF Printer getting exlimationpoint and not completing print
That's strange... when I get home I will try creating a new account and see if I get the same results.
I did notice that after a reinstall of acrobat that the printer actually worked ~2 times then it went back to its old exclamation point self.

Re: Adobe PDF Printer getting exlimationpoint and not completing print
Bingo!! I trashed all the Illustrator preferences files located in the Library folder, and (I think this is most important) a folder named "com.adobe.print.AdobePDF7" (also in ~/Library). Now everything is working!

Re: Adobe PDF Printer getting exlimationpoint and not completing print
I found that deleting the folder "com.adobe.print.AdobePDF7" cured the problem. No need to delete the Illustrator pref file. Thanks for the help in this thread. I didn't have time to troubleshoot a problem like this one!
