I have the same problem, my Adobe PDF stopped printing my documents. I have it as my default printer. mine is PC home
It is Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional.
When I press "Print" the printer icon sits in the dashboard. It says "output file name" what is that means do I have to set up to print with a key name all the time or what?. ? do I need to buy an upgraded version why no body assist us with this technicalities
fustrated please help

I don;t know procedure for PC, but for Mac use Find File, and locate AdobePDF Print Driver and then move to to Trash.
The open Printer Utility and delete the instance of the AdobePDF in the list.
Then open acrobat or Reader ans go to help menu and choose repair and replace. Then uncheck the item for PDF Maker, check for The Pdf printer.
then hi t return.
Careful doing this On Mac you can have and use Multiple versions as needed. Only install PDF printer from the newest version.
For example if you have Version 7 & 8 installed only install driver from 8. 8 has features in the Print Driver that can not be used in 7. But 7 can use 8's Driver anyway.
Once you finish doing this try printing your PDF.

I agree with pjones about repairing PDF Printer. You could also try updating to version 7.1.0, there may have been some fixes for PDF printer since the 7.0 version. If you're running Mac OS 10.5, you should be aware that Acrobat 7 is not officially supported. But it should work fine in Mac OS 10.4.
There is a repair option in Windows as well, but I don't think you need to remove any files before selecting it. And ditto on updating to version 7.1.0 on Windows :-)
