Default Adobe Reader7.0.8. does not automaticallystart when openning PDF files

I just loaded the new Adobe Reader 7.0.8 onto an Apple OSX version 10.4.6 on the Intell Core Duo processor. If I try to open a PDF on line, it opens in the normal web screen and the print is very small. I do't have control over it. If I download a PDF and click on it, it does the same thing. It will not open up Aobe. If I open Adobe, go to File and open it that way, it will run. Any ideas? Thanks for your help.

    Brent,

First thing, this is the Acrobat forum for the commercial program, not
the free Adobe Reader. Personally, I'm surprised that the Acrobat
plug-in works at all in Safari, since Safari is running native and the
    plug-in isn't. I'd recommend removing the plug-in and let OS X handle
the preview of pdfs in Safari until Reader 8 comes out.

Say what! The adobe PDF Plugin "Only" works in Safari. Does not work in any mozilla products, Opera, iCab, Omniweb.

To get pdf's to work with "any" web Browser except IE Mac or OE Mac. Google for PDF Viewer. There should be a listing for Schubert.

This works in all Mac Browsers and email/news clients that accept HTML, excpet those based on Internet Explorer

And only works in Safari on PPC, furthermore, not on Intel.
