AdobePDf Print Driver FILE NAME problem...
All,
This is odd. I open up my file in InDesign and say its named ABC.ind. I make a PDF using the AdobePDF Print driver and it names the PDF - ABC.pdf. Ok, everything is fine, right...wrong!
I open up my second file, DEF.ind and create a PDF the same way using the AdobePDF driver. This time the new PDF retains the previous PDF name created (ABC.pdf). Whew, what's up!
I was saving to my desktop and could never find my second pdf, why? Because it was overwriting the first PDF created. I finally opened up my first pdf only to see that it was not the correct document for what file name it had. BAZAAAAAAR!
Any help would be appreciate! I'm using Acrobat Pro 6 on a OS X machine.
Thanks
E

Re: AdobePDf Print Driver FILE NAME problem...
Since Adobe has issues with Mac OSX you can save the first file and then move the PDF from the desktop to a folder. Then save the next PDF.
On Windows Acrobat you are able to save to any folder you want and does not over write the last one saved.
Adobe needs to fix the problem on the Mac version.

Re: AdobePDf Print Driver FILE NAME problem...
When you state the 'Adobe PDF driver' - do you mean the 'Adobe PDF'
printer or the 'Adobe PDF' printer description file. In other words, are
you PRINTING the PDF or EXPORTING the PDF?
