I've been experimenting with ways to make the surface of one mesh constrain to the surface of another mesh. The idea behind this is an ant or spider that can climb in any direction. So far i've just used the modelsUnderRay command to first find out where a model is at, then the isectNormal to orient to that surface. ModelsUnderRay seems to be quite taxing on the CPU when used too frequently though, so I'd like to know if there are some other methods I could practice on. Thanx for any feedback!
