    Default Again tables!

OK, I uderstood that ID changes Word tables to native ID tables. But what if I need only to change the text in the same table? For example, If I once draw it, then afterwards do I need to paste text to each cell? In Adobe table it automatically distributes the text to each cell. I tryied to paste in ID, but it just paste inside one cell.

Do you know how solve it?

    Thanks
    Ismail

To paste cells from table to table, in the destination table, select the cells you want to replace first.

    A more complete answer:

    1) In Word or Excel, select contiguous cells with the updated data, and copy them to the Clipboard.

    2) In InDesign, click an insertion point in an empty text frame, and choose Paste from the Edit menu. A small table will appear containing just the cells you copied.

    3) Select this new table and copy the cells to the Clipboard.

    4) Select the cells whose content is to be replaced in your formatted table, and choose Paste from the Edit menu. Of course, pasted cells may need to be formatted again.

When you click an insertion point in an empty text frame, and choose Paste from the Edit menu, ID pastes in a tab delimited format, and then you are unable to paste these over the cells that you want to replace. Why is this?
