Hi,

I was having a hell of a time figuring this out last night.

Graphics I create in Illustrator, when "placed" in InDesign have a
white box inside and around them that shouldn't be there and weren't
added in Illustrator.

These graphics are saved as EPS.

What is going on? The graphic in question was a border for an award
created with the pen tool. It was about 1/8" thick and had a color
fill applied to it. It's about 10" by 7". With nothing in the center.

When placed into InDesign the center of the border is white as if it
has a fill aplied to it. and when I put things behind it (text, etc.)
you couldn't see them. I know I could put the text in front but what
is happening should not be happening.

And of course this may be an InDesign issue.

Anybody with any suggestions? This is on my home computer (Dual 1.8
G5) Illustrator CS. I just tried a test here at work and it works
fine, like I'm used to it working.

Thanks
Steve
