AI 10 constantly "unexpectedly quits"

I am running AI 10.0.3 on OSX and the program randomly quits due to some bug. This is very annoying.

A few things to try would be trashing your AI preferences, Trash Adobefnt.lst files, and repair permissions.

Also try changing your time zone then change it back. Check for bad fonts.

Thanks Graffiti. How can I check for bad fonts? Also, when I did a search for Adobefnt.lst files, there were about 13 items from different Adobe programs and I trashed all of them. Did I do the right thing?

Won't hurt. They'll be recreated as needed.

Repairing permissions is done in Disk First Aid. Go to Your Appications folder>Utilities and double click Disk Utility. Select the First Aid tab, choose your main drive then select "Repair Disk Permissions" and let it run it's course. You really should do that after all updates and installs.

To check for bad fonts. Disable half of them and see if the issue remains. If it does, disable the other half. If the problem stops, disable half of them...and so on.

Also, be sure and read through the thread I linked to earlier for additional clues.
