Default AI 10 not printing Postscript

My Illustrator files are printing out very differently now that I'm using AI 10 in OSX.

We have an HP Deskjet 1220C that we added Postscript capabilities to by using Adobe PressReady, back when we were in System 9. Evidently PressReady is not OSX compatible and Adobe did not upgrade it.

So now I have no way to print Postscript? Right now, if I want to get a better print, I save my ai file as Illustrator 8, then print out of System 9. Obviously, this will not work for files that use AI 10's newer features.

What are you all printing on? Anyone know of a way to add Postscript capabilities in OSX?

You know I would love to see an answer here. This is something I've struggled with for a year with no answer from Epson, Adobe or Apple. Why do these companies not think that printing great hard copies is crucial?
