I have Mac os 10.0.3 and AI 10.0
1- ai 10.0.3 update won't find and update illustrator.
2- When printing to QMS magicolor 330 ps level2 printer, I have to convert all text to outline or nothing prints.

You can try throwing away Adobe Online plugin from the Illustrator folder - pluggins - extensions.
I'm not sure about your sencond question.

Re: Ai 10 on mac os 10.0.3
Thanks for your tip, the updater worked fine but AI 10 is not updated still showing "10" in the splash screen not "10.0.3"...Go figure!
My second problem is that no text will print from ai10. I have to convert all text to outlines. All others app. (photoshop7, word, excel) print the text correctly.
When I send an AI10 file to my printer it starts and then after 10 to 20 sec. the print job disappears from the queue and the printer goes back to "idle".
I tried all the solutions I saw on adobe site, nothing worked so far. I must be dumb!

Re: Ai 10 on mac os 10.0.3
You know when I was downloading the 10.03 update on everyones computer in my department, I know I read something about this very problem. But now I can't find anything on it, and my memory is shot.
When installing, make sure all programs are closed, file sharing is turned off, and no anti virus software is auto-activated.
But that was on all MacOS9's so maybe try repairing permissions after getting rid of all AI preferences and try the update installer again.

10.0.3 was an advanced beta at best do yourself a favor and get 10.3.3 Panther. its well worth it.

Re: Ai 10 on mac os 10.0.3
transfor, are you going to the Adobe site and manually getting the update? The Adobe Online pluggin has problems on some machine's.
Remove the pluggin from the Illustrator folder under Pluggins/Extentions.
