AI CS screen redraw problem

On my PowerBook G4 1.5GHz w/ 1.25 Gb RAM, ATI Radeon Mobility 9800 128 Mb graphics, running OS 10.3.3, I have problems with AI CS (11.0.0) not redrawing the screen when I move an object. The object is moved but appears as it's been split into several small bits, sliced horisontally. I don't have these issues in InDesign CS or Photoshop CS. I have removed the Suitcase X1 auto-activation Plug-In, as I've heard it can cause problems like these, but to no avail.

Tips, anyone?

And it only happens on strokes with with "bevel" joins... Odd. But not a big issue.
