    Default AI File Format

    Hi,

I'm trying to find a file format specification for Adobe Illustrator files. Many links can be found for specifications of AI Version 7 on the Web. I am looking for a specification for AI Version 10. Is there no difference between these two file formats?

My goal is to import simple geometry information into my application from an AI file. I have already achieved this with Version 7 files. It should work for Version 10 files, but without a specification I cannot be sure for the general situation.

    Please advise.

    Nicholas.

In truth there are few similarities. The .AI format is now a superset of
..PDF, but I do not know where to point you for a file specification.
