AI opens PDF with garbled graphic object...
Mac 10.3.4, CS Suite with current updates.
2 PDFs downloaded from the same site. Both are viewable in Mac Acrobat 6.0.2, Preview, Acrobat Reader on a PC, and Photoshop CS on Mac.
When either PDF is opened in AI, a graphic (logo) appears garbled. The only thing right about it is the size. If I copy the graphic from Acrobat and paste it in AI, it works OK. The same graphic can be pasted into Photoshop OK.
When the graphic is replaced with one copied from Acrobat and the file is saved (as .pdf), AI will then properly display the graphic.
So: what could be wrong with the graphic that AI barfs on but other apps don't?
