AI Patterns not viewing or printing in PDF
I've been working on a file and saving as PDF w/AI compatibility on (making it simpler to share with the client). The file contains a custom pattern that views and prints properly in AI 10.0.3, but when the same file is opened in Acrobat Pro 5 or Reader 6 the pattern disappears and does not print. Is this a known issue? I searched the forum and did not find a thread specific to this question. FWI… The file also contains transparency.
As a test I saved the file as Acrobat 5 w/o AI compatibility and the swatch still did not preview in Acrobat. Then I saved the file as Acrobat 4 compatible and the pattern previewed properly when viewed in Acrobat.
