AIFF file won't burn to CD? - Mac Applications & Software

I want to create an audio CD with one audio file (it's a "demo tape"). I've got an audio file that has an AIFF extension. The Get Info says it is an AIFC audio file. I drag it to iTunes 4 window and click the Burn button. I get the message "This file cannot be burned." Any ideas why I'm getting this error? Something I'm not doing? Default AIFF file won't burn to CD?

I want to create an audio CD with one audio file (it's a "demo tape").

I've got an audio file that has an AIFF extension. The Get Info says it is an
    AIFC audio file.

I drag it to iTunes 4 window and click the Burn button. I get the message
    "This file cannot be burned."

Any ideas why I'm getting this error? Something I'm not doing?

    PowerBook G3/400; OS X 10.2.6; iTunes 4.0

    Thanks,

Can iTunes play it? It may not actually be an AIFF file at all.

I'd guess it's a MONAURAL aiff file -- I seem to recall iTunes having
problems with those. You might check some of the OSX hints sites, but
I'd bet if you turned it into a stereo file, it would work fine.

Possibly cos it's compressed. Try importing the file to iTunes (after
setting your Import prefs to taste) and try the burn again - that should
    cure it ;)

Is it a _44.1_ kHz (not 48 kHz etc) AIF which audio CDs use? If not,
export it via QT Pro as such.
