AIX 5.1 compatibility
Hi all,
I have a client who is planning to upgrade their machine, the OS, and
Informix. Currently they are running IDS 7.21.UD1 on AIX 4.2 F50 machine.
They are planning to go to a P-Series 630 w/ AIX 5.1 and Informix 7.31.UD6.
However, they want t do the machine upgrade first. Can anyone tell me if
there are compatibility issues between AIX 5.1 and IDS 7.21.UD1? I know 7.21
is no longer fully supported, but will it even run under AIX 5.1?
(I'm trying to get them to commit to upgrading to IDS 9.4, but I'm happy
enough they are sticking with IFMX at all!!! :-) )
