AIX 5.2 and AIO
for some reason, i configured min 50, max 100 on AIO. When I check to
see
how many are in use via pstat -a | grep -c aio, it tells me I have
--600--
running! i am running sap and oracle if it makes any difference. Also
someone said to raise max requests from 4069 to 16384...anyone do
this? system is running on a p650 with 4 procs and 8g-11g ram ...we
do some dlpars so it changes occasionally..oh yeah also running ess
SAN disk with SDD.

The max 100 value is per CPU in 5.2., so I would expect you to see
400. Do you have posix_aio configured also?
We have increased our max requests to 16K
Quick question for you, are you using raw volumes or CIO, DIO ??
