AIX upgrade

Hi,


I need to upgrade AIX from 4.3.3 to AIX5.2 pretty soon. Because we are
currently on HACMP4.3.1 I am thinking of doing the following ..

1) First upgrade hacmp to 4.4.1
2) Then upgrade aix to aix5.1
3) Then upgrade aix to aix5.2
4) Finally upgrade hacmp to 5.1

This will all be done on seperate weekends.

Question : I understand it may be necessary to re-compile the
application when going from 4.3.3 to 5.1. When going from aix5.1 to
aix5.2 would a re-compile again be necessary ?

why not just go directly from 433 to 52? i dont see a need to go from
433 - > 51 -> 52
